Meet the out-of-this-world crew behind Space Ranger Fred’s adventures! From brave Fred and his hero Zando Centauri to quirky aliens like Togz and the powerful Emperor Gandori, get to know the fun and fearless characters that make the galaxy more exciting.
Space Ranger Fred
Fred Sanders, aged 6 ¾ and ordinary boy with red hair and freckles. Lives at home with his mum and small brown dog Jupiter. Dreams of being a Space Ranger. Loves to read comic books. Goes to school in the town. Four foot one inch tall.
Zando Centauri
Senior Space Ranger from the planet Jambori in the second quadrant of the Calypson Galaxy. Winner of the Brightest Smile in the galaxy award, twice. Cleverly clueless.
Princess Glamtoola
The daughter of Emperor Gandori and follower of the very latest fashions of the Calypson Galaxy. Studying at Space Ranger School. 5 foot 9 tall aged about 12 earth years.
Jupiter Space Ranger
A small brown dog that does very little. This might just be a brown cushion.
Togz
An aggressive looking alien covered in tattoos who was rescued when his garbage truck broke down. Togz is now the senior delivery guy on Jambori, the right hand man of Emperor gandori. Speaks in a rough London accent but is very kind, gentle and knowledgeable in reality.
Emperor Gandori
Said to be 227 years old, considered wise but struggles with simple things. Long flowing beard, very friendly, very kind. Emperor of the Planet Jambori and the planets in the outer limits of the second quadrant of the Calypson Galaxy. A lover of good cake and puzzles.
Mrs Miggins
The eccentric elderly Rastafarian neighbour who gives mad, weird gifts, and somehow knows Fred is a real Space Ranger.
Mum
Fred’s mum. A very kind lady with a big heart. Loves Fred dearly and believes and goes along with all his fantastic tales of outer space.
Gran
Fred’s Gran in her 70s an elderly and wise lady full of useful and very meaningful advice. Lives in a care home and often spends time in hospital.
Miss Cummins
Fred’s School Teacher. Pretty and very, very smart. Fred respects his teacher.
ZEE CEE I Mark IV
Zando’s trusty rocket ship. Full of overcomplicated or totally basic apps and gadgets such as the PEG or Powerful Everything Gripper. Rocket ship is as a six year might drawn one and has no set parameters.
